Our consultants have a sound understanding of wage loss replacement benefits (group, individual, association and self-insured products), which enable them to anticipate the focus and scope of rehabilitation services required by each client. This enables our consultants to build effective relationships with clients and productive partnerships with customers. Vocational Assessment Services Banyan’s Vocational Evaluator holds the designations of Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE), Certified Valpar Operator (CVO) and Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP). All of the certifications require ongoing continuing education to maintain and update skills in the industry. Our assessor is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (CARP) and the Canadian Association of Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment (CAVEWA). Career Redirection ServicesThe Work Skills Review outlines alternate work options based on the client’s work history, education, restrictions and limitations. It is aimed at assisting with reality based counseling toward a specific return to work goal/plan. It is generally conducted following a comprehensive initial interview during which much of the relevant data for the analysis is collected. The client is provided with alternate vocational options, which the client either possesses the transferable skills for, or through skill enhancement, can acquire the skills for. The job options are also researched in terms of labor market projections and associated wages.

Insurer Referral Process/FormClick here to download the Insurer Referral Form, or use the online Referral Form. Making a Referral What can I expect once I have made a referral? When our Administration Centre receives a referral, a consultant is assigned to the client, based on skills and geography, within 48 hours. We also inform you, the customer, of any unusual circumstances (e.g. extensive travel involved to meet the request) to ensure that you still wish to proceed. We forward the file to our consultant via Express Post, requiring two to three days delivery. Our consultant makes telephone contact with the client within 48 hours of the receipt of the file. Our consultant schedules an in-person meeting with the client within seven working days and prepares a preliminary report as a result of that meeting. We forward a final report to you, the customer, within 10 working days after our consultant's first meeting with the client. We then await your instructions. Our consultant will not take action on recommendations outlined in the report without authorization from the payer. At Banyan, we recognize the need for the customer to maintain control over the direction of the case. How do I proceed?
