Michèle Parent has been in the field of occupational health for over than 25 years and is currently Vice-President Employer Services and Director, Banyan Québec Relations.
Prior to her current role, Michèle was Executive Director- Organizational Health and Wellness for the public broadcaster; she was leading a national team of professionals in the area of health and safety, environment, disability management, employee assistance program and crisis management. Her main mandates were to define and implement strategies to reduce health and safety risks and to offer solutions to support employees prior to or while on disability, in order to reduce absence rates. Over the course of her career Michèle has held several senior management positions with one of the national insurer and a national telecommunications company, as Vice-President Disability Management and Health and Wellness, VP External Communications and Corporate Affairs and she has also been Director Health Safety, Disability Management and Health Promotion. Michèle has therefore seen the occupational health business from both the employer and the insurer side. Michèle holds a Bachelor degree in Biology (ecology) from Université de Montréal, a Master’s Degree in Occupational Health from McGill University and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from l’École des Hautes Études Commerciales. She is a Certified Human Resources Professionnal (CHRP) and Past President of l’Association Québécoise pour l’Hygiène et la Santé et la Sécurité du Travail. |
