Gillian Blair has been actively involved in the field of health management for the past 17 years and is currently VP, Insurer Services with Banyan Work Health Solutions Inc.  Through her ongoing liaison with key players in the field of disability insurance, this has led to her interest in mediation and facilitative strategy work and subsequent training in Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Methodology.

Gillian has worked with a broad range of customers including Disability Insurers, Employers and Third Party Administrators and has provided services that include input on best practices, audits, business reviews, case management coaching and case management.

Over the course of her career Gillian has worked with a wide variety of illnesses/disabilities including psychological/psychiatric, cancer, cardiac, fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue, addictions, motor vehicle accident victims and WSIB claimants. The main focus has been on assessing function with the goal of return to work and/or claim resolution.

Recognizing the changing trends in case management and the need for a mechanism to bring about resolution to work place issues presenting as influencing factors to return to work, Gillian has been extensively involved in the development & training of the WPF product line for Banyan. Gillian also serves as an Advisor for the Banyan organization regarding Evidence Based CPP/QPP Disability Management, which is derived from a unique statistical modeling approach.

Since 1994 Gillian has been actively involved in the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada, and served as past Chair of the National Registration Review Committee for 6 years. She is a both a Registered Rehabilitation Professional and Certified Vocational Professional. Through her various speaking engagements such as VRAC, LOOMA & CLHIA, Gillian has embraced a commitment to the promotion of excellence for those individuals and practitioners working in the field of health management.
