Anna Ballon, Vice-President, Specialty Programs

Anna Ballon has worked in the field of return to work and health care management for the last 15 years. She is the Vice-President of Specialty Programs at Banyan Work Health Solutions.

Prior to her current role, Anna held a Director position at a large multi-site hospital where she oversaw interdisciplinary clinical programs that focused on return to work. Anna was in charge of successfully leading a four site organization through CARF (Commission of Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities) on two separate occasions, winning the organization the highest level of accreditation.

Anna has been invited by CARF to become an international evaluator of rehabilitation programs. Anna has augmented her long standing management career with a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and is currently completing her PhD at the University of Toronto. Anna has fostered many intra-organizational relationships by building evidence based and employer focused clinical programs with major hospitals, educational facilities, and national companies.

Anna has been accepted by the Supreme Court of Canada to provide expert testimony in the area of return to work. The foundation of Anna’s knowledge was developed at the onset of her career as an Occupational Therapist working in the areas of assessment and treatment of physical disability, Functional Abilities Evaluations, Ergonomic Assessments, Work Hardening and work re-integration.
